Don't Need a Weatherman

So then I get to thinking about the quote at the front of Loneseome Dove that goes:

And then after thinking about that I wonder if I’m the victim of the romanticizing of the west (especially now that I’m inclined to read westerns like some people read romances). But then I wonder, on the other hand, if there really is something inside me that, growing up in New England, missed out on country-western and cowboys and indians and wide-open spaces until my late-twenties and is suddenly now awake for the first time…

And then after all that thinking I get to looking like that guy, so I quit.
